Kids Serving Christ

Wednesdays - 6:30pm to 7:30pm

My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. —1 John 3:18

Kids Serving Christ (KSC) encourages children age two and up to be servants of Christ and to show God's love to other people. They accomplish this through:

age-appropriate memory verses that fit into a theme
Bible stories that focus on love for others
working with senior believers in our church
serving others

Once a month the children "adopt a saint," those RGBC members that are widows, widowers, shut-ins, or in need of being ministered to. The children learn how to encourage and minister to the adopted saint by learning more about the them and how to pray for them, learning songs, and writing letters or coloring pictures for them, and by doing special projects for them.

The children are also required to complete personal special projects that encourage them to show God's love to others throughout the year.

Children's Bible Study

The short children's sermon provided at the beginning of worship service introduces them to the concept of learning about God in the setting of a traditional sermon. Bible study material, available from the downloads section, provides parents and children with the information necessary to prepare for and elaborate upon these sermons.
